Deborra Lee-Furness: What’s your secret with Hugh Jackman?
Deborra Lee-Furness, what’s your secret with Hugh Jackman?
Most women have a hard time keeping hold of their famous husbands. The A-list actor and all round nice guy must attract every other actress, model and human being on the planet. With all that competition, what is it that keeps Hugh besotted?
Hillary Clinton said her husband was a hard dog to keep on the porch. It must have been a flimsy porch because Bill absconded frequently. Maybe Hillary should have kept him on a chain.
Zsa Zsa Gabor said that it’s easy to get a man but much harder to keep one. Obviously, Zsa Zsa never met you two.
You’re 60 now Deborra, and Hugh is 47. This makes you a cougar, just like Demi Moore was until Ashton Kutcher got overly friendly with a young blonde in the spa.
Andrew Denton, an attractive (in a cerebral kind of way ) Australian interviewer once told Hugh that he was in love with you. Hugh looked startled and probably wondered if Denton had informed his own wife, journalist Jennifer Byrne, before declaring his love for another woman in front of a national TV audience.
Jennifer, you’d better get a set of sturdy chains.
Jerry Hall said that if you want to keep a man, then you need to be a maid in the kitchen and a whore in the bedroom. This arrangement wasn’t enough for Mick Jagger but Jerry is now engaged to Rupert Murdoch . Jerry, just stick with being a maid in the bedroom as a bit of sweeping and dusting sounds like a good way to keep a man in his 80s happy.
Hugh has spoken at great length about his adoration for you, his ‘beautiful wife’.
So please tell us your secret, Deborra.
We’d love to know.
